* Pilipinas, A Journal of Philippine Studies, known until 1981 as Filipinas, A Journal of Philippine Studies, is the official journal of the Philippine Studies Group (PSG) of the Association for Asian Studies, Ind., 130 Lane Hall, The University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI 48109. It was published twice yearly at the Program for Southeast Asian Studies.

Issue #35 was the last such published Issue in collaboration with the Philippine Studies Association of Australasia Inc. (PSAA) under the management of its Secretary, Dr. Paul Mathews. Issue #35 is the first electronic (e-Journal) publication in PDF format of Pilipinas.

Issue #36 (March 2001) and future issues, until further notice, will be published primarily in e-format by the PSAA in conjunction with the PSG.

At this time management of Pilipinas is in a state of transition, and all enquiries etc should be directed to the PSAA Secretary & Pilipinas Managing Editor, Dr. Paul Mathews,
